DSR innovates by using new cooking techniques for texture-modified meals that are intended for the residents of residential care and nursing homes.
To bring pleasure and enjoyment in a medical care environment in a way that is more or less appreciable is a difficult task. One thing is obvious: whether it is the medical staff, the executives, the animators or the catering staff, each has a duty, in their own sphere, to be creative with the single goal of satisfying the residents and procure them moments of pure happiness.
For DSR, the goal is to find the means of stimulating the appetite of our increasingly ageing population who often need assistance with eating their meals.
In the residential care and nursing home sector, our chefs pay more attention than ever to make the texture-modified dishes as tasty as possible.
Thanks to new cooking techniques, the most dependent residents can fully enjoy their meals, both in terms of the taste and the visual aspect. This is done in a way that combines health and pleasure in a setting where the meals set the rhythm of their lives, and are the source of rare moments of pleasure.
With this in mind, DSR has developed an innovative programme of texture-modified meals. It consists of supplying, for the most dependant senior citizens, food with a ground, mixed or semi-liquid texture while using fresh products in which the taste of each ingredient is completely restored. Thus, the enjoyment of eating is multiplied. These new cooking techniques also make it easier for dependent residents to feed themselves, and give them back all the dignity they deserve.
