Set up in 1919 by the Christian Unions and the Croix-Bleue Romande, the DSR Foundation has always worked to support the most disadvantaged, by providing financial support for numerous charitable organisations working in Switzerland or abroad, in line with the objectives set out in its charter and by-laws.
Although the economic environment has changed greatly over the years, the DSR Foundation has always remained dedicated to this particular approach, which consists of combining and balancing social considerations and the rules of liberal business management. Of course, such a balance may well appear to be a constraint in the current economic climate, but DSR is very committed to this approach, which adds meaning to its activity. Thus, while ensuring that it remains in good financial health, the DSR Foundation allocates each year 20% of its profits to various projects that have come to the attention of the Committees responsible for distributing the profit.
